Mission

FormFeelingFunction® is a creative lab led by Carl Barenbrug and Manu Moreale, dedicated to building digital and analog products, along with architectural and interior design websites. Guided by simplicity, taste, and purpose, we prioritize experimental and utilitarian design, valuing creativity over growth. We invite conversation and collaboration with like-minded designers, artists, and engineers to craft unique tools and experiences—works that inspire thoughtful craft and stand as reference points for exceptional and conceptual design.

We’re guided by the following principles:

  • Form follows feeling, just as form follows function.
  • Create for clear and intuitive experiences.
  • Craft with care for the details.
  • Be influenced by taste, not by trends.
  • Design for tomorrow, not today.
  • Build for people, not for plaudits.
  • Always question additions—only include what is necessary.

We aim to unify exceptional architecture with simple and high performant web experiences that resist trends and remain timeless above all else.

FFF Branding

For the FormFeelingFunction® logo, we embraced a simple yet strict design constraint: the 1:1 aspect ratio. This square format, which runs consistently throughout our website layout and visual identity, became the foundation for the logo itself.

The mark consists of three bold capital F’s, each constructed within a perfect square. By limiting the design to geometric forms and equal proportions, we created a system that reflects FFF’s philosophy — a balance of structure, constraint, and intuition. The result is a logo that feels modular, scalable, and quietly expressive without relying on embellishment.

This grid-based approach also lends itself naturally to future extensions of the identity, allowing the mark to sit comfortably alongside our work, whether it be digital or analog.

Hidden Wallpapers

A small collection of wallpapers specifically designed for the iPhone (but will look great on any smartphone). With these gradient style designs, we’ve carefully blended the colors with those of the iOS dock background and the iPhone’s oh-so-loved notch (although less of an issue with the newer dynamic island), which near perfectly hides them.

Depending on your phone’s size, you might have to use the perspective zoom when applying any of the 8 available walls to find the right fit. And set your phone to dark mode.

Download these and make your home screen even sleeker!
